The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, the Most Rev. Alfred Adewale
Martins, has urged Muslims to use the Eid el-Kabir period to pray for
quick and lasting end of insurgency in Nigeria.
Martins made the appeal in his Eid el-Kabir message in Lagos on Thursday, saying there was a need for Muslims and all Nigerians to use the period to seek for God’s mercy on the country.
He also urged Muslims to emulate the exemplary life of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) who was willing to sacrifice his only son in obedience to divine ordinance
