The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) has postponed the Kogi State governorship primary, earlier
scheduled to hold today.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa
Metuh, said the postponement was because of some logistic issues
pertaining to the exercise.
In the statement, the NWC reassured members of the party and other
critical stakeholders, particularly the gubernatorial aspirants, of a
transparent, credible, free and fair primary election.
It said the NWC had approved a new date of Monday, September 14 for the
primary election and directs all members to be guided by this.
